The head of Tesla Elon Musk posted the first visualization of the planned Gigafactory in Grünheide, near Berlin, in Eastern Germany.

Environmental Authority of Brandenburg, gave permission to start the earthworks on the site, also issued a permit for foundation and construction work as well as for the creation of private communication areas on the site.

The plant will be the first electric car factory of a Tesla in Europe, and they plans to produce up to 500,000 units per year there. Production is planned to start in the middle of 2021, with at least 12,000 jobs to be created.
